 Hand Held Field MicroscopeHAND HELD FIELD MICROSCOPE This hand held portable field microscope enables users to have a full function microscope regardless of where they travel. The microscope measures 5-1/2" long, 1-3/4" wide and 4" tall. With the illuminator attached it is 7" tall. It has long working distance(LWD) objectives with powers of 4X, 10X and 40XR. With the 10X widefield EP15.5 mm eyepiece the total magnifications are 40X, 100X and 400X. With the long working distance(LWD) objectives the microscope slide is placed on the stage with the specimen and cover glass facing upward. The objectives focus from under the slide, so a cover glass may not even be necessary. Two stage clips hold the slide in place while viewing. Focusing knobs are located on both the right side and left side of the microscope. The illuminator is powered by 2 AA batteries or with the optional AC adapter. Daylight may also be used for illumination. The eyepiece pulls up an extra 1/2" for ease of viewing. This complete unit weighs in under 3 lbs.
